Cisco Identity Services Engine Authorization Bypass Vulnerabilities
Multiple authorization bypass vulnerabilities exist in the web-based management interface of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) versions 3.1.0 through 3.5.0 and Cisco ISE Passive Identity Connector (ISE-PIC). These vulnerabilities stem from insufficient server-side validation of administrator permissions. An authenticated remote attacker with valid administrator credentials could submit a crafted HTTP request to modify configuration settings, including file descriptions and other configuration elements on affected systems. Cisco has released software updates to address these vulnerabilities.
- Valid Cisco ISE administrator credentials
- Network access to the ISE web-based management interface (typically port 443)
- Administrator role privileges in ISE
Patching may require device reboot — plan for process interruption
