Summary
Multiple vulnerabilities in the CareCam CM2507 IP camera firmware (v251211.1507) allow unauthenticated network attackers to access live video streams, steal device credentials, enable unauthorized remote services, and modify device operation. Affected systems are lacking hardening and authentication controls on sensitive functions. The vendor has not engaged in vulnerability coordination with CISA and has not provided patches or official guidance.
What this means
What could happen
An attacker with network access to a CareCam CM2507 camera could view live video feeds, steal device credentials, enable unauthorized remote access services, or modify camera operation. Cameras deployed in sensitive areas of your facility could expose physical security footage or enable unauthorized control of monitoring systems.
Who's at risk
Organizations operating CareCam CM2507 IP cameras in security monitoring, access control, or surveillance roles should prioritize this. Utilities, water authorities, and other critical infrastructure with networked cameras in control rooms, gate areas, or sensitive locations are most at risk.
How it could be exploited
An attacker on the network (or from the internet if the camera is exposed) can send requests to the CM2507 to extract sensitive data, credentials, or enable services without authentication. No user interaction is required. The attacker could then use stolen credentials to maintain persistence or pivot to other systems.
Prerequisites
- Network access to the CareCam CM2507 device (on local network or exposed to internet)
- No credentials required for initial exploitation

Do now
0/4HARDENINGIsolate CareCam CM2507 cameras on a separate, restricted network segment unavailable from office networks or the internet
HARDENINGRestrict network access to CM2507 devices to only authorized viewing/management systems using firewall rules
HARDENINGDisable any unused remote access or monitoring services on CM2507 cameras
WORKAROUNDChange all default and stored credentials on affected CM2507 cameras if vendor guidance is provided
Schedule — requires maintenance window
0/1Patching may require device reboot — plan for process interruption
HOTFIXMonitor CareCam vendor website and contact CareCam support for firmware updates once available
